Privacy Policy

Owen Hacker operates Stacks. This policy explains the information Stacks processes in the app and browser viewer, why we process it, and the choices available to you.

Information we process

We process account details such as email address, display name, username and profile photo; Stacks, saved products, photos and links you provide; collaboration, follow, report, block and wishlist-claim activity; subscription entitlement state; and limited technical logs needed to operate, diagnose and protect the service. We do not ask for payment-card details for retailer purchases because those purchases occur with the retailer.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, display and sync your content, import products, enable sharing and collaboration, administer wishlist claims, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain security, comply with law and improve reliability. Where EU or UK law applies, our legal bases may include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Stacks, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing and visibility

Public Stacks and public profile information can be viewed by others. Anyone holding an active link-only Stack URL may be able to view that Stack. Private Stacks are limited to authorized members. Collaborators can access content in their shared Stack. Choose visibility carefully and do not place sensitive information in public or link-only content.

Service providers

We use service providers, including Supabase, for authentication, database, storage and server functions. We disclose only information reasonably needed for those providers to perform services for us. Providers may process information in countries other than your own; where required, we rely on recognized transfer safeguards.

Affiliate links and external retailers

For a potential affiliate link, our server may send the destination product URL and a two-letter country code to an affiliate-link provider to determine whether the retailer is eligible and to return a qualifying referral URL. We do not send your Stacks account ID, name, email address or an app advertising identifier with that request. A qualifying link is labeled before you click it. Once you open an external retailer or affiliate destination, that third party processes information under its own privacy notice and may use cookies or similar technologies. Tracking and cookies

Stacks does not currently include a third-party advertising SDK or use app data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The browser viewer does not currently set nonessential advertising cookies. If we introduce tracking or nonessential cookies, we will update this policy and request consent where required before enabling them.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and content data while your account is active and as needed to provide Stacks. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify account content subject to limited retention needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups and legal obligations. The exact period depends on the record and reason it is retained. You can request account deletion inside the app.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Use the in-app controls or email trystacks@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where permitted by law.

Children

Stacks is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age required where they live. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us.
